Trail maintenance at Stiles’ Cove
Trail maintenance has started for this year! I didn’t get to go many times last year, because of my ankle, but I’m looking forward to doing it this year!
I was with a volunteer group of about 18 people, and it was a cool, foggy day, which was perfect for hard work! Cutting all the branches and carrying things around kept me hot enough, so I was thankful for the grey weather.
Unlike last year, I was allowed to use electric pruners this time! It was much easier on my arms and shoulders, and I could work very quickly! I hope I can use them next time, haha!
We were out there for 6 hours or so, and it was tough work, so I didn’t get so many pictures of the details, but it was satisfying work!
The next time I’ll be able to go on a maintenance trip will be in July… it’ll probably be really hot, so I’m not looking forward to that, haha!
See you all soon!
